Fahari, the Swahili word for 'Magnificent'

This high quality Lion Art Print is of the original Fahari painting by Charlotte Sutton.

Summary:
Fahari—meaning "magnificent" in Swahili—is a striking fine art print capturing a lion mid-leap, rising with strength and grace toward unseen light. His thick mane ripples with movement, and his eyes gleam with quiet determination. Originally painted by London-based photorealism artist Charlotte Sutton, this Limited Edition museum grade, giclée Lion print brings raw power and poetic symbolism into your home.

The Story:
Charlotte Sutton was inspired to portray a lion’s strength in a more emotive, almost spiritual way—less about dominance, more about the will to rise. Referencing a photograph by Simon Needham, the lion’s leap in Fahari became a metaphor for resilience, healing, and hope. The use of light—reaching up toward it, away from darkness—embodies a personal journey and a universal truth.

A note from Charlotte…
Charlotte painted the original Fahari in February 2022 in her Wandsworth Town studio. It was later exhibited at Green & Stone, London, as part of her Coexist solo show, and is now on display at The Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel. Charlotte’s wildlife work aims to evoke emotion, foster connection, and spark a sense of stewardship through beauty and storytelling.
